Avery Elle / Cool Treats

Cool Treats

Hello!  I am sharing a card that can be seen over on the Avery Elle blog today using Cool Treats.
In the new set, Cool Treats, there are so many cute treat images that I thought I would do some emboss resist.  I stamped all the images in Versamark and white heat embossed.  Next I blended in Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, and Milled Lavender Distress Inks.  I die cut this panel with the Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ments.  For the focal point, I Copic colored my favorite 3 images and added them with foam adhesive over a black strip stamped/heat embossed with the sentiment.

Reverse Confetti / SFYTT

SFYTT

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the current SFYTT (Sketch For You to Try) over at the Reverse Confetti blog.  Check out the SFYTT post......HERE for all the details!

At first, I wasn't sure what to do with this month's SFYTT (Sketch for You to Try) so I pulled out the newest paper pad, Pattern Play, for some inspiration.  After settling on this pattern paper for it's colors, I pulled out the Figure of Speech stamps and coordinating Confetti Cuts.  These were stamped with Piggy Bank, Lime Green, and Baby Blue premium dye ink from Reverse Confetti.  The bubbles were die cut and added with foam tape over a strip of arrows from one of the patterns from Pattern Play.  I love how it resembles Washi.....it finished the card perfectly!

Now the best part is.......there is always a winner every month!  Here are the details:

The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of each month.
Check out the SFYTT post......HERE.

So let's see your Reverse Confetti creations this month.....you still have time to get it done!

S2RBlogHop

Hi Crafty Friends!
It’s time again for the Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop!  Now that so many of you have the SugarPea Designs Spring Release in your hot little hands, the Pod Squad of designers have geared up to inspire you with even MORE creative possibilities featuring our newest and hottest products!
Since the end of school is near, I thought I'd knock out a teacher card using Sweet Sentiments Teacher.  I started by stamping my background with the apple image alternating between red and green inks.  My sentiment was stamped onto a stitched circle from Beautiful Bauble.  I love the mix of fonts!  A layered die cut apple from Teacher SugarCut was added for dimension.  To finish, I added my circle sentiment onto a die cut black Zig Zag Stiched Circle.

Pretty Pink Posh May Product Release Blog Hop

Bold Blooms

Welcome to the May Release Blog Hop for Pretty Pink Posh!  The new products were released May 1st and are just fantastic!  Some of my favorites to date!  (because now I have some PPP florals to play with!!)

My first card uses the new Bold Blooms stamps and coordinating dies.  Oh how I LOVE this set!  I stamped, black heat embossed all the images, and die cut them out.  To color my blooms, I used Gansai Tambi Watercolors.

Bold Blooms2

For my layout, I've used the new Scallop Borders 2 Dies.  I used the point the border gave as a place to not only arrange my blooms but to stamp the sentiment as well.  After arranging the blooms and stamping the sentiment, I added this panel to a white top folding notecard that I added some black polka dot paper.  As a last finishing touch, I added some Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.

My next card uses the tiny but super adorable set called Happy Owls.  There are so many cute details in this set!  I decided to stamp the smaller of the two owls in blue and pink.  Since this is a wedding card, I decided to create a shaker card but using tulle layered over the traditional acetate.

To create my shaker window, I've used the new Scallop Circle Tags Dies.  These dies are just perfect for that elegant touch to a shaker card!  I filled the shaker with Spring Meadow Sequins Mix and Mini Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins.  I love the two mixed together!  The sentiment was white heat embossed onto a light gray pattern paper and die cut.  In real life, it is very elegant although it looks very washed out here.  And last....a few Sparkling Clear Confetti was added.

Here's the full list of blogs for today's hop......make sure to visit each as there are 2- $25 gift certificates up for grabs for today's hop!  Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop.  Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 5/17/2017.  Winners will be announced on the PPP blog.

The Stamp Market / Florals Galore

Fun Florals

Hello! I am back for my second guest post for The Stamp Market.  I am just smitten for all the florals in May's release.  They are just beautiful and totally my style!  I had so much fun adding color to these florals for the two cards I have to share today!
The Stamp Market
This first card may just be my favorite floral card I've ever created!  I chose colors that exude happiness and spring.  I stamped all my flowers from Fun Florals in an array of dye inks from Altenew using my Misti for quick and easy stamping.  Once I had the layers all lined up, all I had to do was rotate my cardstock and could stamp the next color on each flower.  The leaves were stamped with Altenew green inks for layering.

Fun Florals3

All my images were hand trimmed out and arranged onto a white top folding notecard.  Once I had them arranged where I wanted them, I used Press 'n Seal to keep them in place (to remove them) so I could stamp my sentiment.  I just love the font of the "friend" stamp (from Best Ever Greetings) and when done in bold black?  Bam.  It's just amazing.  For a little depth, I added a stamped "you're the bestest!" (which I love to say) on a tiny strip of white cardstock and added it with foam adhesive.  Next, I added liquid glue to the backs of my flowers and added them back to my layout.  By using the Press 'n Seal, you can see exactly where you want them placed.  Clear sparkling sequins were added to embellish.

My next card, I had fun using watercoloring with Distress Inks and the Pretty Peony stamps.  I started by creating a watercolor background using Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Picked Raspberry.  I used the smooshing technique and dried my watercolor paper between colors and layers.  I love how it turned out.  That being said, it was a bit bright so for my final layout, I did layer trimmed vellum behind my peonies.

Pretty Peony

I stamped my peonies in Versafine Onyx Black (it's good for watercoloring) and then used the same Distress Inks for watercoloring my flowers as I used for the background.  I did a loose watercolor not really paying attention to the lines much as I was going to trim these out anyway.  I did the same technique for the leaves but using Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.

Pretty Peony2

The images were hand trimmed out and arranged onto my vellum/watercolor panel again using Press 'n Seal so I could position my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment (from Best Ever Greetings) with black StazOn ink onto my vellum panel.  For dimension, my panel and florals were adhered using foam adhesive.  I couldn't let it go without adding some clear sparkling confetti sequins.

Thank you so much for joining me this week as I shared some of this amazing release from The Stamp Market!

Avery Elle / Summer Release Blog Hop

Birthday Bus

Welcome to the Avery Elle Summer Blog Hop!  I hope you have been following the Avery Elle blog this week as Jamie has been showing all the new products!  It's a fantastic release!!!

I would love to go on a birthday bus or as us adults say "Party Bus".  ☺  This adorable new Birthday Bus stamp set is just perfect for taking you on that ride!  I've Copic colored my cutie patootie critters that are riding the bus.  Do you recognize them from past Avery Elle sets?  They are some of my favorites!

To create my scene, I used the new Diagonal Stripes Elle-ments Dies.  I thought the framing would be perfect so I added my background papers (cut from The Jewel Collection) and added my die cut frame with foam adhesive.  The grass was cut using the Picket Fence Elle-ments.  For my sentiment, it was stamped onto a banner from Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ments and a few clouds (from Picket Fence Elle-ments) and one single red balloon!

The Stamp Market / Ombre Butterflies

Papillion Patterns

Hello!  I am so excited to share some cards using the new May release from The Stamp Market.  If you haven't taken a look at their stamps, you are missing out!  They are fresh, trendy, and totally my style!  I am honored to be a May guest sharing my first post this week!
The Stamp Market
I literally squealed when I opened my package last week.  These new sets are drool worthy in my opinion!  I knew the minute I opened my package that I wanted to ink up the Papillon Patterns set that coordinated with Papillon.

Papillion Patterns3

I stamped my backgrounds using the dotted background from Perfect Pieces Background in ombre colors of pigment inks. My butterflies were stamped in the lightest shade of ink and then the striped pattern was stamped over the top with a darker shade. While the stamp was still there (using my Misti), I stamped again but just the bottom of the striped pattern in a darker shade. I love the ombre look!

Papillion Patterns2

The pink butterfly I added one more layer, from Papillion, to the center. The best part, there are even more details you can add to the butterflies! I kept them clean and simple.

Papillion Patterns5

I will have so much more to share here on The Stamp Market blog later this week with this amazing release!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!
